This esteemed mosque is situated between Mecca and Ta’if. On the twelfth Wednesday of the month of Dhul-Qadah in the eighth year after the Hijrah (migration), Prophet Muhammad (SAW) assumed the state of Ihram for Umrah at this mosque. It is reported from Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that seventy prophets, too, have entered into the state of Ihram for Umrah and fulfilled it from this sacred location.
