SpIrItual PreparatIons for Hajj

Of course, here’s the emotionally charged rewrite in English:
Dear Pilgrims,
It’s essential to grasp that the journey of Hajj isn’t just about shopping or leisure; it’s a profound odyssey of devotion. Each step you take, every hardship you endure, carries immense spiritual weight, offering a chance for redemption and cleansing.
Hajj, obligatory for every capable Muslim in terms of health and wealth, stands as a rigorous act of faith unlike any other. Hence, our foremost advice is to nurture patience. You’ll embark on a demanding journey under the blazing sun, alongside pilgrims from diverse backgrounds. There may be moments of hunger, thirst, and exhaustion, disrupting your usual routine and testing your emotions. In such times, patience is paramount—patience, patience, patience.

We must uphold cleanliness, good conduct, kindness, forgiveness, gentle speech, amiability, and humility at all times.
Dear Pilgrims, let’s be vigilant not to cause offense or hurt others, for such actions are gravely sinful in the eyes of Allah SWT.
Beware! On this journey, the Devil and one’s desires may tempt you even more. May Allah SWT protect us from all harm and the influence of these adversaries. Amin.

Dear Pilgrims, as we prepare to visit the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), let us purify ourselves both outwardly and inwardly. Commencing with Salat Tasbih, repentance, seeking forgiveness, and sending blessings (Salawat) would be commendable.

Let us increase our charity and ensure adequate funds for the journey. It’s preferable not to burden others physically or emotionally, but rather to assist them with our resources and kindness. Insha Allah, these noble deeds may facilitate the acceptance of our Hajj and earn us the reward of a recommended pilgrimage.

As the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) advised, “Do not become a burden to others!” Let us endeavor to avoid inconveniencing fellow travelers during flights, bus rides, and accommodations, especially attending to the needs of the elderly.

While in the Holy Land, let us not be consumed by shopping and lose sight of the essence of our pilgrimage. Shopping can be done at any time in our home countries, but the opportunity to visit the Kaaba, Raudhah (Garden of Paradise), and the Prophet’s Mosque may not come again.

May Allah SWT always guide and support us. Amin.
