Masjid Abu Bakr Al-siddiq

Situated in the Medina prayer ground, this mosque marks the commencement of Amidyya Street to the northwest of the Musalla Mosque. It bears the name of Hz. Abu Bakr (RA) as he was the one leading the Eid prayers during his caliphate, a tradition also observed by Prophet Muhammad (SAW) himself.

Initially constructed under the patronage of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, the mosque underwent renovation by Sultan Mahmud II in 1838. Following additional repairs in 1990, the mosque retains its authentic Ottoman architectural style, covering an area of 292 square meters.
